Program Coordinator – 60 hours/month
We are seeking Read to Me Project Program Coordinator candidates to deliver our program to 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes in the 2019/2020 school year. With significant ongoing training, Program Coordinators teach students about brain development, inspire them to read our curated books to their little ones at home, and coach them in the best ways to use books to help their little ones to enter kindergarten ready to learn at grade level. In addition to classroom presentations, Coordinators prepare book bins for use in classrooms, train and assist student book bin managers, conduct student surveys, work with teachers to encourage good implementation, and generally take responsibility for successful program outcomes in assigned classrooms. Successful candidates will be highly organized, comfortable with teaching and presenting, and communicate well orally and in writing. Bilingual/bicultural Program Coordinators may be offered the opportunity to conduct parent presentations, though this is not a requirement.
Administative Assistant – 60 hours/month
The Administrative Assistant will manage general office operations and support department leaders on special projects as needed. The position requires an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team with ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, anticipate needs, take initiative, and problem solve. The ideal candidate for this job is reliable, resourceful, organized and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is also key to success in this position.
